  • Disney Dining Plan Even Better Deal - We always talk about what a great deal the Disney Dining Plan can be for a Disney World vacation.  Over the summer months or busier seasons, Disney actually raises the prices on some of the restaurants.  This makes the Disney Dining Plan an even better value, because the cost of the plan does not change.  If you are visiting this summer, be sure to add the Dining Plan to your package.

News:

  • Disney Dining Online – The big news is the Disney Dining Reservations System is online for everyone to book their restaurant reservations.  You can still only book 90 days in advance, but now you can book it online instead of spending time and money on a long distance phone call.  Click here for the link.

Resort Spotlight:

Picking a favorite Disney Resort for a Walt Disney World vacation can always be a challenge.  Each of the Disney Resorts have such great amenities.  The newest Disney Resort is Kidani Village at the Villa’s at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.  This resort is a Disney Vacation Club Resort and is truly amazing.  They have one of the best pool areas at Walt Disney World.  They have a great recreation complex with a BBQ grill and pavillion, basketball courts, and tennis courts.  You have one of the best new restaurants called Sanaa with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Savanna.  There are lots of viewing areas of the Savanna – almost feels like more areas than Jambo House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort.  It is more quaint, so you really do feel more comfortable than the larger Disney Resorts.

One consideration for this resort is meals or snacks.  Since this suppose to be a home away from home, you cannot just walk to the Food Court to get a snack or beverage.  The closest Food Court is over to  Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort which is about a 10 minute walk or bus ride.  There is a gift shop that has a small grocery with a few items.  However, if you have a craving for carrot cake or ice cream, you will have to walk or wait until the next day to get it.  Plan accordingly and bring some groceries or make a grocery stop on the way to your resort.  This is an incredible new resort and it is perfect for most families, just be prepared.  Here are a few pictures from the Kidani Village.

One suggestion, your audio is very weak, I believe lapel microphones would fix the problem.

The Kidani Village looks like a nice place, the perfect family holiday retreat. You mentioned something about disney discounts, I think I saw a similar offer on the blair rewards program, they're worth checking out. Thanks for giving me a great idea for my next vacation.
